About the Speaker
Annie started her career as a certified athletic trainer (ATC) after training and working as a professional dancer. While dancing, Annie became a strength and conditioning coach and worked as a personal trainer and high school strength coach to help pay the bills. She holds a CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist) certification as well as various other fitness certs. In 2016, after 2 years of pre- requisite coursework and internships, and a 2 year master’s program, Annie graduated from Seton Hall University with an MS is athletic training. Upon graduation she moved back to the Bay Area and worked as the athletic trainer at Alameda High School for 4 years. When the pandemic hit, and sports were canceled she knew she had to temporarily explore another line of work. For the past 8 months she has been working at UCSF Health in the Orthotics and Prosthetics department and is now a certified orthotic fitter (CFo). Outside work Annie loves to run, snowboard and keep in touch with former students and athletes.
