Pre-Health Shadowing is expanding its social media presence, and we’re looking for volunteers who want to help create content, grow engagement, and shape how we connect with students online.

This is an opportunity to work on real projects that directly impact visibility, outreach, and community growth across platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn.

What You’ll Work On

Volunteers will contribute to ongoing content projects designed to increase engagement, improve reach, and build a stronger online presence.

You can choose one project or explore multiple based on your interests and availability. You may also work between departments and join projects elsewhere within PHS to broaden your skillsets.

Active Projects

1. Medical News

Create content around healthcare, education, and policy updates.

  • Instagram short-form or LinkedIn long-form
  • 1 post weekly or biweekly
  • ~2–3 hours/month

2. Question of the Week

Highlight meaningful moments from recorded sessions.

  • Watch a short Q&A session
  • Select one strong question and answer
  • Optional: create YouTube Shorts
  • ~1 hour/week

3. Admissions Advice

Create practical content for students navigating admissions.

  • Pre-med journey, applications, tips, common mistakes
  • ~2 posts/week
  • ~4 hours/month

4. Fun Friday / Weekend Content

Create informal, creative, and engaging content.

  • Memes, fun facts, jokes, polls
  • 1–3 posts/week
  • ~6 hours/month

5. Recruitment Content

Help promote PHS opportunities and bring in new volunteers.

  • Role-specific or mission-focused content
  • 1–2 posts/week
  • ~2–4 hours/month

6. High School Training Program

Support creative content for outreach to high schools.

  • Creative and less templated
  • 1–2 posts/week
  • ~2–4 hours/month
