About the Speaker

Dr. Mason R. Henehan, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Riviera Beach, Florida. He earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the C. Craig Tisher, MD Award for Research. Dr. Henehan completed his transitional year residency at the University of Central Florida, serving as the peer-selected Graduation Speaker, followed by a dermatology residency at Broward Health Medical Center, where he was the Resident Coordinator for Academics and Medical Student Education.

In his current role at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Dr. Henehan provides comprehensive medical and surgical dermatologic care, including skin cancer screenings, biopsies, and management of various skin conditions. He also serves as clinical faculty for the Broward Health Dermatology Residency, contributing to resident education and selection.

Dr. Henehan’s research focuses on atopic dermatitis and keratinocyte barrier function, with presentations at national conferences such as the Society for Investigative Dermatology. He has been recognized with honors including the Resident of the Year Finalist at the South Florida MediLaw Awards (2023) and the Golden Scalpel Finalist from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (2022).

Active in professional organizations, Dr. Henehan is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Florida Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

How to get your Participation Certificate

After the presentation, return to this course to take the post-lecture quiz. The quiz will consist of information that was presented during the session and should not be difficult if you watched the presentation. Once you finish and pass the quiz, mark the course as complete. Your certificate will be available for download as a PDF file upon completion.
