About the Speaker
<Sam Shen is Clinical Professor and Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Quality in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University. At Stanford Health Care, he serves in the role of Patient Safety Officer. He also directs the Administration Fellowship in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Previously he held positions as Chief of Emergency Medicine at community hospitals in Massachusetts. Dr. Shen received his B.S. from Stanford University and his MD and MBA at University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Dr. Shen’s academic interests include digital health and innovation, process improvement, and patient safety.>
