The Steps

From application to onboarding, here’s what to expect.

    Explore & Apply

    Find your fit, then apply with a short personal statement and any relevant links or examples.

  2. 2

    Application Review

    We review within 5–7 business days and email updates as you move through stages.

  3. Heads up: Due to the high influx of applicants, expect a reply within 1–3 weeks.
  4. 3

    Initial Chat (Zoom)

    A friendly 15–20 min conversation about goals, interests, and availability. Camera on, quiet space, good lighting.

  5. 4

    Virtual Interview

    30–45 min with one or two team members. We discuss expectations, teamwork, and real scenarios. Bring your questions.

  6. 5

    Optional Take-Home Task

    Some roles include a short, role-relevant exercise (e.g., content plan, outreach draft) so we can see your approach—and you can feel the work.

  7. 6

    Invitation to Join

    If it’s a match, we’ll send onboarding details, department intros, and your first training sessions. We’re mission-driven—impact is the reward.

  8. 7

    Onboarding & Support

    Meet your team, learn the tools (Slack, Monday.com, Zoom), and start contributing confidently with clear expectations.

Tips for a Great Conversation

Simple preparation goes a long way. These help every candidate shine.

Be Prepared

Skim recent PHS sessions, programs, and mission. Jot 2–3 concise stories about collaboration, initiative, and problem-solving.

Test Your Tech

Check Zoom, camera, mic, and connection. Close heavy apps. Have a charger handy. Join a few minutes early.

Set the Scene

Quiet space, good lighting, camera at eye level. Professional-casual attire is perfect. Keep notes nearby.

Engage

Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and speak clearly. It’s a two-way conversation about fit and impact.

Be Yourself

We value authenticity and growth mindsets. Share what energizes you and how you like to work with others.

Follow Up

If you haven’t heard back in 7–10 days, a polite check-in is welcome. Mention the role and date of your conversation.
