About Pre-Health Shadowing

Pre-Health Shadowing (PHS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit redefining how students explore healthcare careers. We connect learners from around the world with free, virtual shadowing sessions and mentorship opportunities—removing barriers like geography, finances, and limited professional networks.

Role Snapshot

• Redesign and modernize the PHS website to improve usability, accessibility, and aesthetics.
• Collaborate with the Department Head to plan and execute long-term site improvements.
• Ensure brand consistency and a professional, engaging experience across all pages.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate fixes with the IT team.
• Stay current on web design trends and accessibility best practices (WCAG).

What You Bring

• ~1+ year of WordPress experience (design + content management).
• Strength in responsive design, accessibility, and UX fundamentals.
• Creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and clear communication.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional projects.
