About the Speaker
Dr. Helen Tran is a Board-Certified Family Physician with a passion for education, leadership, and health equity. After completing her Family Medicine residency, she pursued a fellowship in Faculty Development and Administration, laying the groundwork for her career in academic and clinical medicine. She currently serves as Director of Clinical Education at Charles R. Drew University College of Medicine, where she co-directs the Pre-Clerkship Clinical Skills course and oversees the third-year Clerkship curriculum. In her clinical practice, Dr. Tran provides primary care for patients with complex neurologic and developmental conditions, including cerebral palsy, autism, and muscular dystrophy. Her scholarly work explores health equity, complex medical care, and improving outcomes for underserved and vulnerable populations, both in the U.S. and internationally.
