President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)

Recognized volunteers must be US citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residences in the United States.

Pre-Health Shadowing tracks and verifies hours through the hours submission form on the website, this can be accessed through the Volunteer Hub. Hours are to be submitted by the end of each day you contributed to Pre-Health Shadowing as a volunteer. 

Pre-Health Shadowing may request documentation of pariticpation. Pre-Health Shadowing may reject any entries that are incorrectly documented, unsubstantiated, or that are of an excluded type of participation.

At Pre-Health Shadowing, volunteer hours encompass various activities, including virtual volunteering, synchronous projects, active participation in team meetings, time dedicated to presentations, and tasks undertaken to support the organization’s goals. Essentially, any contribution made virtually or through synchronous engagements within the scope of our initiatives qualifies as volunteer hours.

What Doesn’t Count:

Shadowing activities within the program are excluded from the tally of volunteer hours. While shadowing experiences are undoubtedly valuable, they are not considered as part of the volunteer hours calculation at Pre-Health Shadowing.
