Welcome

At Pre-Health Shadowing (PHS), we believe that every journey into healthcare has a unique starting point. For some, it begins at university; for others, it takes shape at home. But for many, the first spark ignites in high school.

One of our core missions is to cultivate an inclusive and diverse environment that fosters personal and professional growth by providing meaningful opportunities and guidance in healthcare fields. To achieve this, we must engage students early, starting at the high school level, by supporting their interests and aspirations in healthcare.

A powerful way to accomplish this is through unity and collaboration, specifically through student-led clubs. By establishing PHS clubs in high schools, students can build a strong network of like-minded peers, empowering each other in their pre-health journeys.

High School & Instagram Outreach Database

Overview

To build a thriving network of Pre-Health Shadowing clubs, we need a streamlined way to track our outreach efforts. Enter our volunteer-driven database!

Using a Google Sheet, dedicated volunteers will scout all high schools in a given state, gathering essential details like school name, city, website, and contact information. They'll also log whether an email has been sent and, most importantly, whether a PHS club has taken root.

This project is a volunteer-exclusive mission, as the HTP team is already juggling a full workload. But for those eager to make an impact, this is an opportunity to play a key role in expanding the PHS community!

More instructions
  • Use the Google Sheet to enter: school name, city, website, and contact email(s).
  • When outreach is sent, set the “emailed” field; when a club launches, set “club formed.”
  • Keep data professional; store only school contacts in the approved sheet.

High schools are the perfect launchpad for pre-health journeys, and with your support, we can inspire students to start sooner. As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in reaching out to schools and helping them establish their own PHS clubs, empowering students to explore the medical field early.
