About the Speakers
Sandy Jun is an OMS-II at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is currently on a leave of absence due to personal health reasons and has plans to return as a second year student in July 2022. Sandy is interested in FM-OBGYN and OBGYN. She is passionate about women’s health and sexual medicine. She hopes that in her line of work, she will empower others in topics regarding mental and sexual health (topics considered relatively taboo in society). In her free time, Sandy enjoys weight-lifting and running her social media blog.
Alexis Dunn is a first-year medical student at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Originally from Houston, TX, she went to Mississippi College for undergrad and ran cross country and track. She is interested in a more procedural specialty, possibly anesthesiology, but is not entirely sure yet. During undergrad, she was an active member of Alpha Chi, an honor society. A fun fact about her is she has three turtles, and her oldest one is 17 years old!
Jordan is a second-year medical student at UC Davis School of Medicine. She just finished her preclinicals and will start on clinical rotations in May. She did her undergrad at UC Berkeley and majored in Neuroscience. Currently, her plan is to go into child neurology!
Wil Caruso attends the Medical College of Georgia, where he’s a 4th year medical student set to graduate in May. He is interested in pursuing Anesthesiology. As a pre-medical student, he studied Biochemistry at Kennesaw State University where he graduated with Summa Cum Laude. He loves helping to teach and inspire pre-med students to achieve their dreams of getting into medical school. As a non-traditional pre-med and medical student he understands how confusing the process can be, so it is one of his goals to share helpful information and provide quality entertainment along the way. Wil runs a website called premedcommunity.com that has loads of helpful articles and resources for pre-medical students. Some fun facts about him are that he used to live in Japan and Vietnam before being a pre-med and that he likes big otaku and love anime. Please do not hesitate to reach out to him and ask him any questions you have. You can find him on social media on Instagram @medwithwil , Youtube as Medwithwil, and Tik-tok @medwithwil.
