About the Speaker

Dr. Lina M. D’Orazio is a Neuropsychologist, Clinical Psychologist, and Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She is the Founding Director of the Cultural Neuropsychology Program and serves as USC’s Director of Cultural Neuropsychology, specializing in culturally informed neuropsychological assessment, clinical care, and research consultation across the Keck Medical Center.

Dr. D’Orazio integrates evidence-based practice with an empathetic, humanistic approach to support cognitive, emotional, and behavioral health. She provides expert neuropsychological assessment, psychodiagnostic services, and pre-surgical evaluations for medical and psychiatric conditions, with clinical and research expertise spanning Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, health psychology, executive functioning, trauma, stress and pain management, and adjustment to change—particularly in high-risk and underserved populations.

With professional experience at Brown University, Columbia University, USC, and the VA system, Dr. D’Orazio has worked extensively with multilingual and diverse populations, including veterans, neurology and oncology patients, and creative professionals. A two-time APA Minority Fellowship recipient, she is an active researcher and national speaker on psycho-oncology, health disparities, dementia, and minority mental health. Her scholarship includes peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, including Drug and Alcohol Dependence.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. D’Orazio collaborates across healthcare, academic, legal, and corporate sectors to advance culturally responsive care, resilience, and well-being.

After the presentation, return to this course to take the post-lecture quiz. The quiz will consist of information that was presented during the session and should not be difficult if you watched the presentation. Once you finish and pass the quiz, mark the course as complete.
