About the Speaker

Dr. Hassan Bencheqroun is a quadruple board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician with expertise in respiratory and exercise physiology, cardiopulmonary interactions, and the management of life-threatening multiorgan failure in critical illness. His clinical work focuses on severe lung disease and acute decompensation, including COPD and emphysema, asthma, lung cancer, bacterial and viral pneumonias, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, chronic cough, and acute respiratory failure requiring life support. He also specializes in end-of-life decision-making in the ICU.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bencheqroun works in clinical development and medical strategy, supporting global biotech and pharmaceutical programs. He collaborates closely with research investigators, data science teams, and operational leaders to ensure protocol design and trial execution reflect real-world clinical practice, particularly in complex, multinational studies.

He is also engaged in applied artificial intelligence in healthcare and research, focusing on machine learning, real-world data, and workflow-aware AI to improve decision-making across the clinical development lifecycle. His work bridges bedside medicine, clinical trials, and AI-enabled strategy.
