About the Speaker

Pamela Chambers, DNP, JD, MSN, CRNA is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with more than two decades of experience in clinical anesthesia, health law consulting, and nurse anesthesia education. She has practiced as a CRNA since 2000 and has been a nurse since 1994, blending extensive clinical expertise with formal legal training to advance quality, safety, and professional practice.

Dr. Chambers earned her MSN in Nurse Anesthesia from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston while serving on active duty in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, completing 18 years of service and achieving the rank of Major. She later earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), completing a capstone focused on quality improvement in private practice anesthesia, and an Executive Juris Doctor (JD) with a concentration in Health Law from Concord Law School at Purdue University.

Since 2008, Dr. Chambers has served as an expert consultant in health law, perioperative nursing, and anesthesia-related matters, providing expert witness services, standard-of-care review, and regulatory guidance. She has practiced anesthesia nationwide and internationally in both military and civilian settings and continues to maintain an active clinical practice.

Dr. Chambers is an Assistant Professor in the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She has served two terms on the Board of Directors of the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and continues to lecture nationally on anesthesia practice, quality improvement, and professional standards.

After the presentation, return to this course to take the post-lecture quiz. The quiz will consist of information that was presented during the session and should not be difficult if you watched the presentation. Once you finish and pass the quiz, mark the course as complete. Your certificate will be available for download as a PDF file upon completion.
