About the Speaker
Dr. Aariyana Britton is a dedicated healthcare professional, researcher, and advocate from Sussex County, Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Averett University (2020) and a Master of Science from Liberty University (2022), where she focused on public health and U.S. health policy. Most recently, she earned her Doctorate degree, further strengthening her expertise in understanding and addressing complex health challenges across diverse populations.
Dr. Britton currently serves in the areas of Community Health and Medical Research, where she plays a vital role in advancing health equity and improving outcomes for underserved and marginalized populations. Her work is grounded in the belief that every individual deserves access to quality, culturally competent care. Throughout her career, she has contributed to impactful research in clinical trials and biomedical science, including the development of innovative treatment strategies and approaches to disease prevention.
Her professional focus centers on tackling chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and autoimmune conditions — all of which disproportionately affect underrepresented communities. Through her work, she strives to close gaps in healthcare access and education, empowering individuals and families to take charge of their health and well-being.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Britton is a passionate mentor and advocate for the next generation of STEM leaders. She is deeply committed to creating pathways for women and people of color in medicine and science, encouraging diversity, representation, and inclusion at every level of the field.
Dr. Britton is also an active member of several honor societies, public health coalitions, and professional committees dedicated to advancing community wellness and leadership. Outside of her work, she enjoys public speaking, networking, and uplifting others through education and service. In her personal time, she finds joy in reading, writing, traveling, and competing in pageants — pursuits that reflect her creativity, confidence, and commitment to personal growth.
With her blend of scientific expertise, compassionate advocacy, and leadership, Dr. Britton continues to inspire others to create a healthier, more equitable future for all.
