About the Speaker
Dr. Kimmy Nguyen is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Wilkes University, Nesbitt School of Pharmacy with a clinical practice site at Volunteers in Medicine, a free clinic that serves an uninsured population. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and completed two years of post-graduate residency at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, and the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System in Wappingers Falls, New York. She is board-certified in ambulatory care pharmacy and advanced diabetes management. Dr. Nguyen’s clinical responsibilities focus on the management of chronic conditions, like diabetes, hypertension, and pulmonary disorders, and she precepts students, residents, and other healthcare trainees.
