About the Speaker
Dr. Lauren Matteini specializes in the care and treatment of the whole spine – cervical, thoracic, and lumbar areas. Fellowship trained and board certified as a spine surgeon, Dr. Matteini works closely with fellow care providers (like physical therapists) to empower and educate her patients to meet their long-term health goals.
Working with both pediatric and adult patients, she utilizes both nonsurgical treatments and highly advanced surgical procedures to improve quality of life. Dr. Matteini particularly specializes in deformity correction, revision spine surgery, degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, disc herniation, nerve impingement, and stenosis. Minimally-invasive fusion techniques are offered for quicker return to function and less post-operative pain, particularly anterior and lateral approaches to the lumbar spine. Dr. Matteini is also an expert in the field of motion-preservation in the neck, utilizing cervical disc arthroplasty or replacement for optimal results with reduced recovery time.
