About the Speaker
Dr. Bayan is an assistant professor and laryngeal surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She earned her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University and medical degree at The University of Virginia. She went on to complete residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Iowa and fellowship in laryngeal surgery under Dr. Steven Zeitels at Massuchusetts General Hospital Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation. Dr. Bayan started her faculty career at the University of Chicago where she was the director of their voice center before coming to the Mayo Clinic in 2019. She currently serves as the Associate Program Director and the Department Diversity Leader at Mayo in Rochester.
