About the Speaker
Dr. Karl Golnik has practiced Neuro-ophthalmology exclusively for 30 years and has served on the Board of the North American Neuro-ophthalmology Society and has received their Merit Award. He has received the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Lifetime Achievement award and more than 10 teaching awards throughout his career. He has given more than 1000 invited neuro-ophthalmology and medical education lectures in more than 70 countries and has over 150 publications in these fields. He is a member of the American Ophthalmological Society and the Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis. He currently serves as the Secretary for International Relations for the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Care Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) and is the Ophthalmology Foundation’s Chair for Education.
