About the Speaker
Hagerah Malik is a third-year MD/Ph.D. student at the University of Chicago’s Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). She is currently working on her Ph.D. in neurobiology in the lab of Demet Arac. Hagerah completed her BA in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in 2018 and spent a year doing HIV research at the Icahn School of Medicine before moving to Chicago to join the MSTP. She is a board member and Co-Director of Recruitment for a national non-profit called the Populi Foundation, which connects socioeconomically disadvantaged pre-med students with medical student mentors to increase diversity in the physicians workforce and make medicine accessible for all.
How to participate
The class will become available about 30 minutes prior to the start of the presentation. During this time, you should ensure that you have the Zoom client installed and working.
How to get your Participation Certificate
After the presentation, return to this course to take the post-lecture quiz. The quiz will consist of information that was presented during the session and should not be difficult if you watched the presentation. Once you finish and pass the quiz, mark the course as complete. Your certificate will be available for download as a PDF file upon completion.
