About the Speaker
Dr. Stephanie Zeszutek received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University and a Pharmacy degree from St. John’s University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center and is a board-certified Obstetrician- Gynecologist. Dr. Zeszutek is currently a Clinical Professor and Course Director in the Department of Primary Care at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown. Before this role, she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh and served at the West Point Military Hospital to cover deployed physicians.
Dr. Zeszutek has a clinical practice in the Orange County area that focuses on empowering women of all ages through better health and wellness. She is an active member and leader of many national and state medical organizations, including her current role as National Board of Osteopathic Examiners Clinical Sciences Department Chair for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Past President of the Orange County Medical Society and Secretary of the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society.
Dr. Zeszutek enjoys living in the beautiful Hudson Valley region and participating in many community events to support local causes. Based upon her many volunteer activities, advocacy projects and commitment to the student’s learning inside and outside of the classroom, she received a Presidential Excellence in Service Award and a recipient of the Women’s Achievement Award for her local community.
She was instrumental in creating a Medicine and Horsemanship program to assist students in understanding patient nonverbal cues and runs hands-on medical simulator sessions for students and community outreach programs. Due to her energetic and interactive classes as well as her dedication to her students and patients, Dr. Zeszutek received national recognition for her teaching as a recipient of the 2019 Northup Educator Award.
