About the Speaker

Dr. Silva is a board certified Internist and Endocrinologist. She attended Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL and obtained her degree of Doctor in Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. She completed Internal Medicine Residency in 2013 and completed her fellowship in Endocrinology in 2015. She presented at the American Academy of Clinical Endocrinology’s Annual Conference in 2015 and published a paper on ovarian adrenal rest tumors. Her interests are in general Endocrine disorders with a special focus on diabetes mellitus, pre-diabetes, obesity, thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal, PCOS and gonadal disorders. Over her years in practice she noticed how difficult it was for patients to be able to allocate time for their appointments and has created full functioning web-based practice which allows her patients to seek medical attention in a timely manner from the privacy and comfort of their home or office.

How to participate

The class will become available about 30 minutes prior to the start of the presentation. During this time, you should ensure that you have the Zoom client installed and working.

How to get your Participation Certificate

After the presentation, return to this course to take the post-lecture quiz. The quiz will consist of information that was presented during the session and should not be difficult if you watched the presentation. Once you finish and pass the quiz, mark the course as complete. Your certificate will be available for download as a PDF file upon completion.
