About the Speaker
Jeremy Grossman, MD is a Sackler School of Medicine-NYS Branch graduate, where his work as founder of “The Homeless Project: Tel Aviv” took 1st Place from the Social Justice Project & Paper. He is a current PGY-2 Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Resident at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. He also has a Bachelors in Psychology and Biology from the University of California, Irvine. His research includes a paper being prepared for publication titled “Factors associated with high rates of non-adherence in diabetics treated with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion: a population-based case-cohort study.” Among Dr. Grossman’s many volunteer interests is a counselor at Camp Conrad Chinnock, a non-profit youth summer camp for children with diabetes. He began as a young camper and earned the camp’s Michael White Award for his years of commitment. Dr. Grossman plans to continue volunteering with the camp’s medical team and hopes to one day serve as the camp’s medical director. Dr. Grossman would like to practice medicine in impoverished and underserved communities and looks forward to the multigenerational treatment of the family as a unit. Dr. Grossman speaks fluent Hebrew and enjoys playing acoustic guitar, weight training, and his Belgian Shepard.
