About the Speaker
Thea L. Swenson, nee Theodora Lananh Tran, was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Denver, Colorado. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering: Product Design from Stanford University and received a Medical Degree from the University of Colorado. She is currently a resident physician at Vanderbilt University with interests in sports medicine.
Prior to medical school, she spent several years working in product design for health tech companies. Frustrated by the way our healthcare system functions (or doesn’t function), she went to medical hoping she could use her product design background to build a better healthcare system.
